The Odor Trap combines a unique blend of filtration media with oxygen (air) to create an environment where the odor in the water will settle out and become trapped in the filter media. The trapped odor is then periodically flushed from the tank and sent to a nearby drain. The typical residential Odor Trap uses 10×54 media tank, a unique blend of filtration media and a 1” high flow backwashing control valve. The Aquatek Odor Trap will treat odors including very low levels of sulfur, odor caused by hydrogen sulfide gas.
NOTE: Additional plumbing considerations must be made if there will be any faucets or spigots piped in before the filter tank.
An Aquatek Odor Trap can be designed and manufactured to meet special applications.
